In "Beguiled" by Deeanne Gist and J. Mark Bertrand, Rylee Monroe is a young woman from Charleston, South Carolina. Rylee's father left when she was a little girl and then her mother overdosed on sleeping pills. Rylee was raised by her grandmother. When her grandmother can no longer take care of herself, Rylee has to put her in a nursing home. In order to pay the bills Rylee begins to walk dogs for the wealthy residents of Charleston. After several burglaries in the historic district, Rylee becomes the prime suspect. She teams up with writer Logan Woods to try to figure out who really is the Robin Hood Burglar. I received a free copy of this book to review from Bethany House.
