The Stars Shine Bright

In “The Stars Shine Bright” by Sibella Giorello we are once again caught up in the FBI world of Special Agent Raleigh Harmon. Raleigh is looking for a chance to turn her career around after facing suspension from the force. Raleigh is sent undercover at a thoroughbred race track to find out who is fixing races and harming the horses. Nobody at the track trusts Raleigh so she has a hard time making any headway with the case and then she becomes a prime suspect. She slowly begins to piece the clues together but knows she does not have much time. Not only does she have to work and deal with being undercover but she also has to deal with her fiancé. He does not understand her passion for the FBI and when he flies out to visit her things quickly turn sour. Raleigh feels all alone and cannot talk to any of her family. The worst part of it all is that her mother is paranoid and is in a mental hospital and thinks that Raleigh is the bad person and is out to get her. Will Raleigh solve the case? Will there be a happily ever after in her future?

“The Stars Shine Bright” is the fifth book in the Raleigh Harmon series. You can read these as standalone novels but I would highly recommend that you start at the beginning. You don’t really get Raleigh’s complete background unless you read them all and that makes the stories so much better. I received a complimentary copy of this book to review from Thomas Nelson.
