In “Rosemary Cottage” by Colleen Coble, we meet Amy Lange. Amy and her brother Ben visit Hope Beach every summer, but when Ben is killed in a tragic accident on Hope Beach Amy believes that he has been murdered. She moves to Hope Beach in order to find out the truth. Curtis Ireland is a Coast Guard officer and he has lost his sister Gina in a tragic accident and has been left to raise his year old niece, Raine. And Curtis is keeping a secret from Amy; Raine is Ben’s daughter. Amy convinces Curtis that Ben and Gina’s accidents were not accidental after all. The two start to investigate to find out who would want them dead. As the two spend time together their feelings for each other deepen and they start to uncover many things that some powerful people want to keep hidden. When Raine is kidnapped they find out that everything is not what it seems. Will Curtis and Amy find Raine before it is too late?
“Rosemary Cottage” is the second Hope Beach novel and it will draw you in from the beginning. You will want to read “Tidewater Inn” first to have the background story of the small island town and characters. This book reminds us once again that God is always in control and we see how Amy and Curtis turn to Him in order to find out the truth. I received a complimentary copy of this book to review from Thomas Nelson Publishers.
