“My Hope is Found” by Joanne Bischof continues the dramatic story of Lonnie and Gideon. Lonnie is trying to put Gideon out of her and move on with her life. She meets a young preacher, Toby, and though she likes him he is not her Gideon. Lonnie has the constant reminder of her marriage with Gideon each time she looks at their son. She and Toby do become close over time and she has started opening her heart to him, but her world is going to be turned upside down again. Gideon’s wife Cassie has given him her blessing to return to his family. She knows that he does not love her the way he loves Lonnie and she does not want to keep them apart any longer. As Gideon makes his way back to Lonnie he second guesses himself along the way. When he finally returns to their home he sees another man in his place. He soon finds out that he has to earn Lonnie’s trust once again. Before they can have a future he must put his past behind him once and for all. Will God bring Lonnie and Gideon back together as husband and wife?
This is the third book in The Cadence of Grace series and it is full of emotion. You will see not only Gideon and Lonnie’s pain but Toby’s as well. They all must turn to God and trust in Him to see them through their difficult time. I highly recommend reading “Be Still My Soul” and “Though My Heart Is Torn” first in order to fully appreciate Lonnie and Gideon’s struggle. I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review. Click here to visit the author's website.
