In “Beloved” by Robin Lee Hatcher we meet Diana Brennan and Tyson Applegate. Diana came west on an orphan train and was separated from her two siblings. When Diana was seventeen she met the dashing and wealthy Tyson Applegate. Tyson charmed Diana and they quickly married. When Diana learns that Tyson only married her in order to gain his inheritance she is heartbroken. Tyson leaves in order to get away from his father’s control. Several years later they are told that Tyson was killed in Cuba. Diana, believing to be a widow, moves on and meets someone else. On the eve of their engagement Tyson reappears and wants to make things right with his wife. He makes a bargain with Diana that she will move back in with him and be a supportive wife while he runs for political office. At the end of the six months if Diana’s feelings for him have not changed, she can leave. Tyson spends the next several months determined to show Diana that he truly does love her, but Diana is equally determined to not lose her heart to him again.
This is the third book in the Where the Heart Lives series and it will keep you turning the pages. This book shows us that when we truly and deeply love someone we can forgive them with God’s help. You will want to read “Belonging” and “Betrayal” first in order to find out what happened to Diana’s siblings and to have the full story. I received a complimentary copy of this book to review from www.booksneeze.com.
