“A Matter of Trust” Mia was coping with the death of her husband and trying to manage her career and raising a fourteen-year-old son and a four-year-old daughter. Mia thought she had a good life but she knew something had changed with her husband. In this book we learn that maybe her husband’s accident was not an accident at all. Mia works with homicide detective and friend Charlie Carlson to uncover just what was going on in her husband’s life. But as the two get closer to uncovering the truth Mia’s life becomes endangered. Not only is she trying to solve that mystery but she also has a job as prosecutor to do. She has been given the task of prosecuting three teenage boys in an attempted murder case. But not everything is as it seems and that is something Mia begins to understand more and more as she investigates these two cases. Will she be able to solve the mystery surrounding her husband’s death before it is too late?
This book opens with a bang and grabs your attention until the end. This is a very well written book that is full of mystery and will make you keep turning the pages then leave you wanting more. I highly recommend this series and the Triple Threat series by Lis Wiehl to anyone who loves a fast paced mystery. I received a complimentary copy of this book to review from BookLook Bloggers.

This is another amazing and fast paced suspense that will keep you turning the pages. This book is full of suspense and romance that will leave you wanting more. In this book we see how the two main characters rely on God to see them through the case and in their feelings for each other. This book mainly focuses on Kayden and Jake but it does have all of the McKenna family as well. I highly recommend reading the first three books, “Submerged”, “Shattered”, and “Stranded” first so that you will have more background on the relationship between Kayden and Jake. I highly recommend this whole series and can’t wait for Reef’s story! I received a complimentary copy of this book to review from Bethany House.
