Seagrass Pier

“Seagrass Pier” by Colleen Coble takes us once again to Hope Island. In this book we meet Elin Summerall and Marc Everton. Elin is a single mother and she also has the responsibility of taking care of her mother who has dementia. Elin’s life has taken a crazy turn lately. She was the recipient of a heart transplant and it seems that she is having flashbacks of the donor’s life. Most importantly the night the donor was murdered. No one believes that can be happening but Elin fears for her life because the murderer wants her silenced. Marc is an FBI agent and was assigned to the donor’s murder case but things changed when his partner was killed as a result of the investigation. Marc sets out for justice for his partner and did not count on his feelings deepening for Elin. However, they have a history together that is soon uncovered and will change them both forever. Will Marc be able to put aside his hurt feelings in order to solve the mystery before it’s too late? Will Elin keep her faith in God to see her through?

This is another amazing book of faith, hope, and love that will keep you turning the pages and wondering what will happen next? There are many plot twists to keep you guessing who is after Elin. This is the third book in the Hope Beach series and while it can be read as a standalone I recommend reading “Tidewater Inn” and “Rosemary Cottage” for more background on some of the minor characters. I received a complimentary copy of this book to review from BookLook Bloggers.
